InVECOF M14 meeting!

Just over a year after the project started, InVECOF consortium came together to review the current progress and discuss the next steps. Despite the fact that the meeting had to be organised remotely, this did not prevent partners from having lively and lengthy discussions regarding fiber development.

Although developing new recipes for oxide ceramic fibers and upscaling production to TRL7 comes with challenges, partners are making significant progress and gaining valuable insight and knowledge concerning the mechanisms behind fiber formation.

As a reminder, InVECOF aims at establishing a European production chain for oxide ceramic fibers and develop next generation fibers with improved qualities compared to the commercially available ones. This is important work considering that the fibers are a strategic and critical material and currently being produced exclusively outside of Europe.
