Continuous Oxide Ceramic Fibers for Industrial Application Production in Europe
As a key partner in the InVECOF project, Rath Group, led by experts Christopher Kluthe and Marco Hildebrandt, is making significant strides in oxide ceramic fiber production. With over 35 years of experience in materials innovation, Rath Group is working to become the first European supplier of high-performance oxide ceramic fibers, with an anticipated production capacity of up to 10 tons per year.
These advanced fibers are set to play a transformative role in ceramic matrix composites (CMC) and metal matrix composites (MMC), providing exceptional strength and high-temperature resistance. Such properties make them ideal for applications demanding durability under extreme conditions, from aerospace to industrial manufacturing.
The new production facility, scheduled for completion by autumn 2024, marks a milestone in the European composites industry, supporting sustainable and resilient material solutions.
